Impact Gold DFW is proud to announce that Sue Carpenter, former Assistant Coach at The University of Arkansas, has joined our organization as Head Coach of our 18u Gold DFW National Team.

Coach Carpenter worked as the lead assistant for Coach Mike Larabee for 6 year at Arkansas and previously for 3 years at Wright State.  Her experience coaching in the SEC will not only be of great value to her players on the 18u National team, but to our entire organization.

In addition to coaching at the 18u level, Coach Carpenter will be VP of Operations at our new Sandlot hitting and pitching facility in Prosper opening in September. Coach Carpenter will be hosting player and coaching clinics as well as teaching regular hitting and fielding lessons at the Sandlot.

Coach David Newcomb said “the ability to turn over our players to an accomplished collegiate coach during their final couple of years of high school will help prepare them for success once they reach college.  All players and families in the Impact Gold family should be excited at the opportunity that awaits their daughter when they reach that point of their softball careers.”

TRYOUTS for both the 18u Gold DFW National team and the 16u Gold DFW National Team will take place from 9-1 on August 13-14 at Coppell Middle School West.  We encourage all 18u and 16u players looking for an opportunity to play in the most prestigious tournaments in the country.  We will be fielding 2-3 teams in the 16U and 18U age brackets and all coaches will be in attendance at these tryouts.  Those who do not make the National Teams will automatically considered for other teams in the organization. Please contact Dave Newcomb at (214)-458-8046 or Jason Papes at (214) 288-2659 for details.
